During law school, I participated in a program providing legal services as part of the Cook County Legal Assistance Foundation ("CCLAF"). Before providing legal services to a client, governmental regulations required that the clients go through a financial screening process to determine their "eligibility" to receive services under the program. While working for "CCLAF" I realized that many potential clients were being refused services because under the applicable financial guidelines their income level was considered to be too high. During law school, I also worked as a "clerk" in a private law firm. I became aware of the cost of obtaining "consumer" oriented legal services from private lawyers in Cook county and the surrounding area and I knew that most of the potential clients who were being turned away by "CCLAF" due to the governmental financial guidelines could not afford the cost of private legal representation. I learned the philosophy of marketing discounted services to the public while working for my family beginning at seven years of age and I realized that I could utilize the same philosophy to market legal services directly to consumers. The same year that I opened my law practice the United States Supreme Court allowed attorneys to advertise for the first time in history.
Combining my experience from legal assistance, my family business philosophy and the ability to advertise, in the spring of 1977, I became one of the very first attorneys to advertise in Illinois. Since then, I have continuously provided low cost consumer legal services to the public. I have been a pioneer in developing set fees for many types of services wherever possible and I have maintained one of the lowest hourly rates for experienced law firms in the north-east Illinois area. Since I was licensed in October, 1976, I have served thousands of clients. I have handled or supervised other attorneys handling hundreds of real estate closings, many thousands of family law matters, numerous Illinois close corporations, adoptions, injury cases, bankruptcies, name changes, wills, trusts, estate planning and probate matters, landlord and tenant issues, credit problems and debt collection cases for businesses. It is my goal to handle a high volume of low cost matters. My fees are usually the lowest or among the lowest available in my geographic area for similar quality services. I have chosen to concentrate my practice in these areas because I truly wish to serve the needs of the public.
My office staff includes persons who can assist clients in the Spanish language for the purpose of completing the office interviews and office work. (It is necessary for the client to provide his or her own translator at hearings since my office staff can not attend hearings.) All clients will be treated fairly and with respect and all cases will be handled quickly and professionally.

9. Criminal Defense (Felony and Misdemeanor)
10. Landlord / Tenant disputes (especially security deposit cases)
11. Wills & Trusts; Estate Planning (simple will from $200; with child's trust, from $250)

15. Illinois Corporations (starting at $350.00 plus costs)
